Is there the right (or wrong) way to live your life?

Recently, I have heard a few people question “Am I living my life correctly?” The first question that comes to my mind is “Is this question valid?” We grew up in a system that navigated us with the term right/wrong. When we were young there were parents who told us what is right or wrong. When we went to school or university, there were teachers who judged us with the right/wrong, sometimes based on calculations, but sometimes solely based on their own experiences and opinions.

We grow up and now there is no-one to judge us, we still look around for validation. We compare ourselves to others. We use the standard of the society to see where we are in our journey. We ask others for opinions about our own life. Sometimes, we ask 10 people and we get 10 different opinions. We keep the mentality of living with the way of right or wrong. Somehow, we become more confused.

For me, it is not about finding the right way to live your life, but knowing that you own your life. All the choices you choose are experiences. We better treat our life like we are savoring a piece of art. Not every people will understand our decisions in life, like not everyone would appreciate your favorite song. Also, our preferences change from time to time, so don’t just stick to just one choice. Knowing that our life is unique, it cannot be compared to anyone, and we know ourselves the best. So, trust in our feelings and intuitions. Knowing that it will bring us to the exact place where we need to be, and the most important thing is to enjoy the journey.
